About Me

I am an older, retired, woman, who loves to travel and learn about other cultures.

My house is a little chaotic as I live with my boyfriend, 2 small dogs and 3 cats. It can sometimes be a bit messy, but you will have a private bedroom, access to the two full bathrooms, and be walking distance to the bars and restaurants of historic Annapolis! If you prefer very clean and nice accommodations this probably isn’t for you, but if you’re adaptable and value location and company above all else, then join us!

I love meeting new people from around the country and the world. I am happy to show you around and include you in my social outings, or just let you be, whatever your preference!

My house is located approximately 15 minutes walk to historic downtown Annapolis, and approximately 45 minutes drive to both Washington DC and to Baltimore (limited public transit).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing to build connections and learn from people around the world. When I travel, I like to immerse myself in the local culture, learning about other people, and about myself, along the way. I want to share my great historic town of Annapolis, Maryland USA and I have some extra bedrooms.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love live music, especially blues and other music that makes you want to move your body. I am an avid reader of all kinds of mysteries, especially Swedish authors. While I do enjoy movies, I tend to fall asleep, so I don't really have any favorites.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I guess raising two wonderful adults who have great values and are generally "amazing" is probably the most amazing thing I've done. Its certainly more amazing then working on the space station (mechanical engineer) skydiving, scuba diving, teaching underprivileged children, trekking the Himalayas, and a host of other things that I've done that other people generally find amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

Love to share travel stories and any perspectives on life at home or in general that may be interesting to you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Open, honest, and thoughtful conversation. As much or as little interaction as desired - but I love to get to know and connect with other people
