Hi! I'm a 26-year-old guy from Toronto who's passionate about the the environment and exploring the outdoors. I have a degree in media and have worked for a broadcaster for about 5 years on a food-related brand, which has piqued my interest in sustainability and agriculture. While I still don't know a lot, I'm very eager to learn!

I've had the opportunity to do a few backpacking trips as well in the Yukon, British Columbia and various places in Ontario. Coming from a big city, camping and the outdoors affords me the chance to escape and relax; there's something very magical about being able to live simply, quietly and in beautiful surroundings.

Other interests include watching movies, following late-night TV and playing video games. I've also started to rekindle a love for amateur astronomy, and while I don't have a telescope or a car to escape the light pollution of Toronto, I try to take every opportunity I can to find a dark spot and look up. The universe is a wonderful place!

I've had the opportunity to travel to various parts of Canada, a few places in the U.S. and western Europe and I've set my sights on a lot more travel in the near future. In my experience, the best part of any trip is the people you meet, the connections you make and the stories you get to share - Couchsurfing seems like the best way to do that.

My most recent trip was a 10-day solo backpacking trip of a remote section of Ontario's Bruce Trail. It was a great test of all the camping and hiking knowledge I'd gained in previous years and turned out to be a fantastic trip.

My current living situation isn't amenable to hosting Couchsurfers, but a good friend of mine has done it in the past and we're still friends with the individual who came to stay with us. It's something I'd like to be able to do in future!
