About Me

It's interesting that people think they can get a good idea of who somebody is from reading a description box (written by that person). I believe in what I can experience face-to-face. I think technology is great because it allows us to communicate, plan, and coordinate but it is not everything - it won't solve all of humanities problems.

So yeah, if you want to know about me you we just need to hang out and have an honest dialog.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

No experience. Trying to break into the community but have had little luck thus far. Planning on hosting people maybe once a month when I move to Seattle later this year.

The reason I'm on Couchsurfing is to meet the people who live in the country (the locals). After seeing some of the world and going to many different countries, I've noticed that things are more similar than different - especially people.

I really value connections with people and being vulnerable. You have to open up if you want to make real friends. I think Couchsurfing will give me more opportunities to share myself with others and vice-versa.

Interests

I enjoy playing soccer, futsol, dancing, and jamming to dope beats.

Now I'm also super interested in Buddhism and cultivation kindness and compassion in my daily life. Meditation has been a great aid to my life and my interactions with others.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC
I'm a fan of the old school hip-hop (you know when bboys with rat tails were cool in the early 90s). But I also listen to jazz, R&B, house, lots of stuff.
Some peeps I jam to are:
- Soulchef
- Nujabes
- FKJ

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In my short 23 years, graduating from the Georgia Institute of Technology and interning in Kyoto, Japan are some things I think are pretty amazing.

I sometimes give money to homeless people.
I'm still breathing ;)

Teach, Learn, Share

One of my favorite pastimes is to break people's conception of reality - either by showing them an alternative that they have not thought about before or challenging their belief system. There are a lot of people out there (many who I know personally) who refuse to see things as they are. This is unfortunate because it causes much unnecessary suffering.

Lately I've had some really good conversations with some dear friends about the nature of our world, our reality, how we got here, and what we can do about it. I'll give you a hint: it's not as glamorous as you think.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Myself, All I have to give. People have told me that I'm very open so we will probably have a good conversation. I like to listen to other people and act like a sponge - soaking up information, knowledge and wisdom.
