I love to travel to discover the history of a place, and learn about the people living there, how their culture and daily lives are influenced by traditions and cultural changes over time. I am the child of two immigrants from different countries, so I have a deep curiosity and appreciation for intergenerational changes and the immigrant experience.

I’m a laidback, thoughtful person who enjoys the small moments of peace and joy in everyday life. A good book, a tasty meal, a peaceful walk in nature, watching the sunset… but sometimes it’s easy to get swept up with the fast paced nature of backpacking and budget travel. I’m currently practicing mindfulness by deepening my yoga and meditation practices, as well as seeking out opportunities to connect deeper with the places and people that I visit.
