About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Experience the world upside down

ABOUT ME

Hi There! My name is Jono, I come from the land down under (Australia) and I like to keep a loose footing, so I wander around quite a lot. I've almost reached that magical age where most people 'settle down', but I have no desire to do so. This is very daunting and no I don't mind that I haven't settled down with a house + mortgage, a secure job and a small lap dog yet ;)

I really enjoy exploring the world as it is and one of the best way to do that is to meet the people! I guess the best way to find out how I am is to meet me, but failing that I like to think of myself as approachable, open minded, extremely horizontal and vertical at times too. My mind is constantly wandering and questioning and as a result I have a head full of ideas, both mad and useful :) I plan on unleashing them on the world one at a time in the hope that they make a positive difference and make people smile :-)

I look forward to meeting you!

PHILOSOPHY

I quite like the sunscreen song by Quinton Tarver and most of the advice on life I find quite useful, you can listen to it here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfq_A8nXMsQ&feature=related) and the lyrics are here (http://www.bondon.com/sunscreen_song.html) the video for some reason has spanish subtitles so not only do you get some interesting thoughts on life you get a Spanish lesson thrown in for nothing! How good!

Some of my favorite quotes:-

Minds are like parachutes, they only work when they are open.

Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing. —Helen Keller

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by
the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do.
So throw off the bowlines
Sail away from the safe harbor
Catch the trade winds in your sails
Explore. Dream. Discover
-Mark Twain

Be daring, be different, be impractical, be anything that will assert integrity of purpose and imaginative vision against the play-it-safers, the creatures of the commonplace, the slaves of the ordinary.
-Sir Cecil Beaton

Nothing ventured nothing gained & You live only once!

Teach, Learn, Share

Well I can't say I am really much of a teacher but I did manage to teach my 87 year old Grandad how to use a computer when he was 80 which was quite a brilliant experience! I can't speak many other languages other than English and some very basic Swedish & Norwegian, so foreign language lessons aren't yet my forte. However, I can teach you some typical Aussie slang. I love designing all sorts of stuff and enjoy tinkering. I know a bit about photography ,it's trial and error, thank you delete button. I have done a bit of traveling around the world, so I can offer some insight into places I have visited and lived, which on a site like this is probably kinda useful!
