About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Looking for couches in Poland in mid-June, 13th-23rd-ish, and once that's squared off, looking for awesome people/times!

ABOUT ME

I've never done the wide-scale travel thing before so I decided that since the opportunity presented itself this summer, I am trekking for a month across the great wide continent that is Europe (would've been Eurasia except the Trans-Siberian's screwed up because of the Beijing Olympics.) I'm well-situated in enough of the cities I'm visiting but unfortunately, I don't know a single soul in Poland, which is a shame because it's incredibly high on the list of places I want to visit. As for more general stuff about me, I'm a 23-year-old recent college graduate, going back in the fall for my Master's Degree in Media Preservation. I live in a beautiful area of Brooklyn, NY, where I eternally wish that people visited me more often. I work at a special collections library and an art gallery and love spazzing out over minor historical trivia (and, in fact, I am a huge fan of pub quizzes). Also I suppose most people would say I'm a nice dude and I get stoked really easily about exciting stuff.

PHILOSOPHY

Work in progress.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None really! I mean as far as the actual website is concerned, Lord knows I've crashed on a bunch of couches in my life, just never on an international scale before.

Music, Movies, and Books

Wayyyy too much on all counts so I'm invoking rule of threes. Music: Carl Craig, Prefab Sprout and Kate Bush. Movies: Letter from an Unknown Woman, Sunrise, The Young Girls of Rochefort. Books: Solaris by S. Lem, Play It As It Lays by J. Didion, The House of Mirth by E. Wharton. And much much more, obv.
