ABOUT ME

I have 'kids' who are the age of most couchsurfers. I've worked all over the UK in construction, farming/small-holding, photography, film-making. Got friends of many years standing in France and Germany and latterly USA. I'm committed to people power, local democracy and sustainable living. Of course I'm a hypocrite to, since I can't shake off my liking of fast cars and motorcycles; also I like huge bonfires and consuming good food and drink (wherever its come from).

PHILOSOPHY

treat everyone with mutual respect and hope to continue discovering a sense of wonder in everyday life as well as in new people , places, experiences.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Did an awful lot of hitching in my youth (how come there's no more hitchers? Is it because you're all too affluent now?) And met many truly good people a few of which have become lifelong friends. So far I have hosted a lot of people but as yet to couchsurf with anyone. I hope that more older people become involved

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Set up a couple of nature reserves, fallen in love a couple of times, present at the birth of my children.Warmed my hands by a beach-coal fire in mid-winter while fishing for north sea cod with my dad.
