About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To become an international correspondent!

ABOUT ME

I'm not really into self-advertising, but according to what most people say about me, I'd say that Im a friendly, easygoing person.

I was born and raised in Seville. Before leaving the nest, I spent a couple of months in Ireland looking for a job and eventually finding it, and one year at Teramo (Italy), where I enjoyed an Erasmus grant. Afterwards, I lived in Ceuta (Spanish city embedded in Morocco) for nearly 4 years, working as a radio reporter.

Oh, and I'm taking (very calmly) a new degree: Economics.

PHILOSOPHY

Basically, I aspire to travel a lot and to become as good a journalist as I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted many friends in Ceuta and I've paid some visit, too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Outstanding, as pointed out before. I've hosted several guys and girls at home, with many of whom I keep in touch and I feel happy to call them friends.

Interests

Journalism and media, international affairs, languages, culture, literature, travelling, sports.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Rock and Roll and Americana, mostly

Movies: not good at picking up. Classics, I loved The appartment, Amarcord or . Contemporary cinema, I enjoyed Before Sunset, Hotel Rwanda, Trainspotting, La vita e bella...many, many. I also enjoy a lot TV shows such as The Sopranos, The Wire, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, etc etc etc

Books: like to read romances and essay, no poetry. From the very first, I could say I loved In cold blood, Brave new world, 1984, La verdad sobre el caso Savolta, Los detectives salvajes, Río Fugitivo, El camino, The bonfire of the vanities...

I also enjoy reading historic and journalistic non fiction. Kapucinski is God. Right now, I'm trying to read as much as I can about China and Asia.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Wandering throughout Sicily in an autocaravan with other 6 weirdos. Crossing by foot the border between Albania and Macedonia and getting stunned about all those fucking bunkers Enver Hoxha built. Riding a camel for free at Essaouira beach, in Morocco.

Teach, Learn, Share

Definitely people will learn nothing about cooking from me. Does it sound too stupid if i say i enjoy talking about policy, economy, history, international affairs? In those issues I'll be more than happy to teach what little I know, and even happier to learn what other people have to teach me.

Countries I’ve Visited

Albania, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Cuba, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Macedonia, Montenegro, Morocco, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

China, Ireland, Italy, Spain
