About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Meet new people and travel through their stories
ABOUT ME
Nous vivons toujours en français dans une ville bilingue à 80% anglophone.
We have 3 children but only none at home. . We have two grand-daughters living close by.
We are non smokers. Anne is allergic to cats.
PHILOSOPHY
At every stage of our lives, we live things differently but the important thing is to never stop experimenting, challenging ourselves (slowly and gently), opening ourselves to new horizons and meeting new people.
Our home exchange experiences have taught us a lot. The best way to travel and to discover a town is by getting to know the people who live there and by sharing their daily lives. Also we have learn to never say no. For example: In Tasmania, do you want to try caving? If ever in our area, do you want to stop by and have lunch with us? We always make sure to drive by and give them a call.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
For 2011, mainly be hosts. For 2012, during our leave of absence from work, we will be traveling so we hope to find people to host us and continue to host between trips.
When we travel with our truck camper it is always difficult to find camping areas near cities. So we might appreciate a spot in your driveway instead of a couch.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None but we have had 8 great home exchange expericences and we believe in sharing and trust.
Interests
We are nature lovers who like to hike, to camp in our small truck camper,to cycle (especially on our tandem),to cross-country ski, and to skate on the Rideau Canal.
We like to have our family and friends over at our house to share a good meal and a bottle (or two) of wine or just to tease each other around a board game.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
We are proud to say that we try to stay in touch with a lot of the people we have met during our travels. Many of them remain good friends.
Teach, Learn, Share
We can learn from everybody but we must take the time to get to know them.
