I work in construction doing carpentry, plastering, and scaffolding. I do carpentry work in my shop on the side building furniture. I've lived in Portland my whole life, and don't mind giving suggestions of spots to check out. I'd even be ok with showing people around if I have the time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people, and am trying to put aside money to do some traveling. I feel like the best way to get a feel for a foreign place is to meet the people.

Interests

I enjoy playing drums, building computers, playing video games, fishing, and hunting. I go backpacking as often as I can, and take the fishing boat out with my brother as much as possible.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a broad taste in music. I really like folk music, metal, bluegrass, and hip hop.

I enjoy just about everything from Miyazaki. I also have a slight obsessions with Schwarzenegger movies.

I love fantasy books, but Vonnegut is likely my favorite author.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did a 60 mile backpacking trip by myself through the Mark O Hatfield wilderness

What I Can Share with Hosts

I've worked in a lot of kitchens, and would be completely willing to pitch in with some cooking or dishes. I also have a lot of knowledge about construction, and computer repair. If you have any issues with your home I could at least point you in the right direction.
