About Me

CURRENT MISSION

trying to understand the world - I think this will stay my mission forever :)

ABOUT ME

I am currently studying Journalism in my fourth year at university in Stirling, Scotland.
I am also working as a freelance science journalist for German magazines and newspapers. During holidays I am sometimes participating in different media projects or do internships.
I love traveling, which I try to do as often as my budget allows (or I'll just do it anyway).

PHILOSOPHY

Litera scripta manet - the written letter remains.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love travelling and meeting new people, so I'd be happy to host and surf.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had some people staying over a few times (but not always via the couchsuring website), and I've slept on many couches in many countries.

Interests

Writing (!!!), reading, photography (if only I had a good camera...), travelling of course, music (Oboe and different recorders), talking (lot's of it), hiking, swimming, and more.
I love learning new, interesting words - my favourite one: Petrichor (the smell of dust after rain - thank you, Doctor Who)

Music, Movies, and Books

DOCTOR WHO!!! I used to live in Birmingham for a year and got to know British television - and fell in love with Doctor Who :)
I read a lot, different things, I always like to try new genres or types of books. I try to go to the theatre (yes, I know, I'm a bit different from other people in my age here^^) and the cinema (independent films as well as "normal" blockbusters) as often as possible.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Most amazing experience: teaching English to little monks in a monastery in Nepal(sooooo cute), playing Football with them and riding on a motorbike on the sandy streets of Kathmandu.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, China, Czech Republic, France, Ireland, Nepal, Poland, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada, Germany, United Kingdom
