Overview
About Me
My husband and I run a commercial-scale organic farm on the East End of Long Island, selling mostly through Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) shares and Farmers Markets in NYC. I have a degree in Environmental Science and Conservation Biology. We have 2 kids who are now mostly grown, our son is in school at Drexel in Philadelphia. I love sleeping on the floor (nice and hard for my back!) but am generally flexible and easygoing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've backpack traveled through many countries and areas, and many kind people have offered me hospitality at different times. I enjoy giving this hospitality back. I value thrift and feel it's stupid to spend crazy money on hotels if there's a corner where I can put down a sleeping mat - and am happy to offer the same to other frugal travelers.
Interests
We're really into farms and food! We love to shop at farmers markets or do pick-your-own, and cook.
