Not sure what to say...a guy who enjoys showing the beauty of Norway to others. I'm a pretty calm person and I think I have a good mood most of the time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met a girl on the net several years ago. She was located in Singapore and I have been to visit her twice and it has been great to have a local "guide". I have also met up with internet connections in KL and Bangkok. And last but not least...I met my wife online...she was located in South Africa when I met her :-)

Interests

I enjoy to travel...as you can see from my homepage www.gardkarlsen.com. Apart from that my wife and I love to go to the movies and we also belong to a film club here in Stavanger. I like to exercise a bit so I play squash as often as I can (2-3 times each week) and I jog, bik, rollerblade etc. Also into watches :-)

Music, Movies, and Books

Enjoy all kinds of movies from Spiderman to Super size me. I only read books on vacations..last was a book by Dan Brown (no, not the DaVinci code)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing the Great Wall of China, the view of Machu Picchu, the crystal clear and blue ocean at the Maldives, the view of the Norwegian mountains and fjords around Stavanger, finally reaching Uhuru peak on top of Kilimanjaro, being on a safari in South Africa and getting close to lions, elephants etc, taking the Shinkansen train in Japan, Rome in general, Paris in general, going to sumo wrestling in Tokyo...and so many other moments :-)
