I love travelling and I want to be able to experience as much of the world as possible. To help I want to be able to explore new places from the eyes of a local, and learn about their culture. I'm fascinated by how people from different cultures live, work, eat and socialise. I also like the opportunity that couchsurfing gives me to meet likeminded people from all over the world.

My music taste is varied; deep house, folk, rock, contemporary classical and just about everything in between.

My top three books are: Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts, Scar Tissue by Anthony Kiedis and The 4-Hour Workweek by Tim Ferris.

I'm sure the best is yet to come! If I had to pick one thing, I'd keep it simple. Buying fruit at a market in Latvia, with absolutely no language in common with the stallholder. The challenge of making myself vulnerable and trusting a stranger to not rip me off was something that stuck with me.
