Hi! My name is Gareth I am 25 and from Warrington in the North West of England. I work in a residential care and education facility helping young people on the Autistic spectrum deal with their condition. I attended University at Leeds in the UK and studied Sport and Exercise Science. I have a passion for sport using my spare time for training and competing in amature boxing. I also obviously have a passion for travel! I have travelled extensively through Europe, South East Asia, Australia, North and South America. I would love to meet more people around the world and show people my home town.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As stated above I have travelled extensively and have often found in my experience that meeting with local people is the best way of getting the most out of your travelling experience. I would therefore like to meet more local people and have some great travelling experiences.

Interests

I am a fully qualified personal trainer and therfore love physical fitness and a variety of sports. My main focus of sport is boxing but also have an interest in many others. I also enjoy film and the cinema. I love watching a variety of different genres and getting new recommendations. My interest in eating, drinking (and partying!) pretty much goes hand in hand with my interst in travelling. I Love all different cuisines and I am still discovering great food and drink around the world. And finally as stated above I love going out and enjoying the nighlife of different places around the world and meet new interesting people.

I love cooking and have done a number of little classes in different countries and cuisines around the world so would be more than willing to cook!

I am a fully qualified personal trainer and also have a degree in Sport and Exercise science. During my degree I specialised in Sports Nutrition. So if you want any advise on that side of things I would love to help!

Ive have also travelled fairly expensivly so if you need any tips on any of the countries ive been to, no worries!

What I Can Share with Hosts

My home town of Warrington is in a great position in the UK. It sits equidistant ( only 25 miles) between two of Englands most iconic cities Liverpool ( The home of The Beatles!!!) and Manchester. It also has very easy access to the beautiful country side in Wales and the Lake district. Warrington is also close to the historical cities of Chester and York.

On a personal level I have a great spare room and a bunch of friends that would love to show you around!
