My name is Garett and I moved to Glasgow, UK. New to the city so excited to explore it and meet new people.

I am open-minded, independent, and personable. I really like to stay active wherever I am and do not like spending too much time stuck inside. I stay active in the winter by snowboarding, golf in the summer, and enjoy working on yoga and personal fitness all year long. My exception to staying active is whenever I am at the beach! I really love the beach wherever that may be and love to "just chill" and catch some sun. I get a long with a lot of personalities and backgrounds and love to meet people from all over who are all different in their own way!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was inspired to look in to Couchsurfing when I met two girls in Prague who were Couchsurfing. They had used it a lot and relied on it to make their 2 week trip throughout Europe. It really opened my eyes as an alternative way to travel and meet new people.

Really here to meet new awesome people, learn about their cultures and backgrounds, and share fun experiences.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I propelled down the side of a 22 story building in efforts of raising money for a charity called Shatterproof, which aims to raise awareness around how addiction and drug/alcohol abuse is a growing problem and hurting families worldwide. This fundraiser pushed me to step outside my comfort zone (which I love) while at the same time I was able to raise money for a unique charity hoping to make a difference in the world.
