ABOUT ME

I was born in Ohio, moved to Chicago for 6 years, was in Atlanta for 2 years getting my MS, and am now living in Austin, TX. I did a bunch of traveling in between school and whatnot, but right now is the first time in my life where I just have a steady job and don't have to bring my work home with me. So right now I am in the midst of reinventing myself with all this spare time I now have. I've been getting into a lot of both new and old hobbies, and genuinely trying to explore my immediate area, and mind, as well as taking the random trips to places I've always wanted to go. All in all, things are exciting.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to experience as many things as I can, but balance it by doing things I have to do now so I can do what I want in the future. Life is a marathon, not a sprint.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed a bit throughout the US, as well as hosted. I also did the Polar Plunge with Team CS Chicago, and have attended meetups in a bunch of different cities.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had great experiences with CS. Everyone I have stayed with has been great, and I feel like they've given me a better idea of what their city is actually like than what I could have found on my own.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed to the very top of Ios...with my 50cc rental scooter. It felt like pure freedom, and the view was indescribable, looking out across the Aegean with the Cyclades dotting the sea, like holograms in the distance.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you about electricity and circuit design or programming, how to work on cars or a motorcycle, how to play guitar or piano, or how to brew beer ranging from beginner to advanced methods.

I would like to learn the basics of photoshop, or how to use software to mix music.
