Overview
About Me
I'm an Indian lawyer living in The Netherlands.
I'm most likely to found on a balcony sipping dark coffee and reading a book. Also, it may or may not involved a recently baked vanilla cake. My favourite way to explore a new city is visiting the museums during the day, and aimlessly wandering in the evening.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I moved to The Netherlands recently and want to travel around Europe. I want to meet new people in my area and explore new places with the people I stay with.
I prefer staying with local people instead of at hotels/youth hostels to know the city beyond the tourist attractions.
Interests
I like to read whenever I get the time. However, since I'm travelling right now, I would like to know as much about the culture and local traditions as I can.
I also like gardening, cooking, and photography.

Music, Movies, and Books
I absolutely love reading! My favourite authors are Haruki Murakami and Isabel Allende. A few of my favourite books are Persepolis, To Kill a Mockingbird, Night, Saga, and anything by Jhumpa Lahiri and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. I enjoy graphic novels and can spend hours talking about books.
If there was one movie to beat them all, it'd be Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Others would be Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close and 500 Days of Summer.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I played roller sports in school, and represented India at the international level.
Something else? I survived Sunny Beach.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can help my host cook a couple Indian dishes and help out with DIY projects, particularly those involving planters! I'm not too bad at embroidery and watercolour either.
I will be forever thankful to the person who teaches me how to knit. I can't follow the videos on YouTube.
