Overview
About Me
Im an artist based out of Mumbai, India. I work on graphic novels and editorial illustrations. I also run a small project called ProjectBambai about the art and architecture in the city of Mumbai.
I love to travel, meet new people and experience new places.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have always been an introvert, while travelling I would always prefer a quiet hotel room. Last year while in Kuching, Malaysia I was running out of money and decided to opt for a hostel instead of a single room. I ended up loving the experience! I enjoyed meeting people from all over the world, having breakfast conversations and travelling together. I think couch surfing would be a great place to meet new people and add to the travelling experience.
Interests
I love to travel, draw and paint, walk, eat sugary food, see museums, go to small markets, sit in cafes and look at people, go to parks to look at birds, and stationary stores, sit on trains with big windows...

Music, Movies, and Books
I love old hindi melodies, they remind me of the days spent at home as a child. While working I prefer to listen to instrumental piano, the pace is just fine to sit for long hours and make some art.
I love Amelie (the movie), I religiously watch it almost every year. It makes me believe that there is always light at the end of the tunnel. That this life, it isn't that bad.
I like books by Haruki Murakami, he makes me want to visit Japan, see all the places he talks about, the deep forests and the train stations.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I used to watch the Birds of Paradise videos, almost every now and then. I used to wonder how those magnificent birds living on a far away island have developed such intelligent dance forms. Every time I would sit and watch David Attenborough talk about them on BBC shows, I would tell myself that one day I will go to those forests and see them myself.
Last year, I was making plans to go to Japan, looking up tickets and wondering how expensive it is for an Asian to travel when suddenly I started looking up tickets for Papua (Indonesian New Guinea). One thing led to another and before I knew it, I was in Papua, in the Arfak forests, sitting inside a bird watching hide and looking at the very same birds. It was the most beautiful experience of my life, one to happily take to the grave.
