About Me

This is not an ordinary couchsurfing page!

We are a young community of almost 100 adults and children living together in a new village in the Negev desert. Our vision is one of togetherness and love in a spirit of sustainability and spirituality.

Some background info:
In August 2013 we built an eco village on Mount Eldad in the Negev, with the intention of living a meaningful life close to nature under the open sky. The village on Mount Eldad did not last because of problems with the authorities, but one year later, we were finally living together, legally, in harmony, in Tzochar, Eshkol. Here we can fulfill our dream of building a unique community, to serve the people we live among and to share the wisdom of our hearts.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Life here is new and exciting, and there is lots to do...
Currently, we are renovating caravans, to be able to receive more beautiful souls into our community!
During your stay you might help prepare for an event, help improve the volunteer house or any of the other public structures, develop the sustainability program, dig a trench... And we always need help in the kindergarten! Wherever you are able to put your light, knowledge and experience, we are grateful.
We are looking for volunteers to help us fulfill our goal of creating an eco-village and community based upon values of responsibility, generosity, non-violence, sustainability, mutual aid and the love of one another and of the other.

These values are what bind us together and lead our way forward.
If you are interested in taking part in this, contact us now!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Early one morning in August 2013, we set up camp at mount Eldad in the Negev.
There we established a temporary village in the heart of the desert.
It was equipped with water tanks, solar panels, shades, food and more. We were surrounded by the overwhelming support of hundreds of friends, volunteers and family members, who came to help out. We managed to establish, in just two weeks, a lovely eco-village in the middle of the desert.
In but a few days we have built ecological compost toilets, a communal kitchen, 30 houses made of geodesic domes that were built without harming the natural surroundings in any way (no digging, concrete or heavy vehicles).

Teach, Learn, Share

Volunteering with us is highly recommended for those who are truly interested in the unique spiritual ways and atmosphere of the community, and for those who want to gain something special for their personal development and spiritual path.

Spiritual activities as Kiddush, personal reflection Sessions and more will be given throughout your stay.

Our program has a minimum stay of one week, and a maximum of three weeks. If both sides agree, the stay can be extended :)

Our world is waiting for you!

Some of the highlights of staying with us:

• Learning new skills.
• Helping create an international eco-village together with devoted people from Israel and around the world.
• Being a part of a bigger vision with a higher purpose.
• Having lots and lots of fun!

What I Can Share with Hosts

You will be living in a house that is designated only for the volunteers! The house has 3 bedrooms, and has the capacity of hosting 8 people. The bedrooms are equipped with bunk-beds. The house also has two bathrooms, kitchen and a living room. This is where you can cook your meals, hang out, rest, and spend your free time if you feel like it.

Come and take part in the most amazing adventure Israel has to offer!
