Small, humorous, loud and other basic hero stuff.

I am in no hurry in life, so I don't check my email everyday. It is best to send me a request with a good advance, I try to reply to everyone though. If the couch is unavailable I take great pleasure in meeting people downtown and show off Reykjavík's best bits.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed in Ferrara for two nights and once in New York for four, it was a great experience.
I have hosted quite a lot of people and that has been terrific as well :D

I enjoy most good conversations and showing people what I find interesting in our culture

Interesses

books, movies, music, tv, traveling, animals and having a blast.
Sports: Pole fitness, Jiu Jitsu, football (it's football not soccer, cause you use your feet), bowling, squash, strength training, swimming and the lot I guess
Computers, programming and computer games, card and boardgames. Most games. I already mentioned cards and games I hope in case you got the wrong idea.

Music: Basically everything. Icelandic I recommend: Of monsters and men, Sykur, Retro Stefson and Hermigervill.
Books: The hunger games, Harry Potter, LoveStar, James Patterson's works, Digital Fortress, Charlie and the chocolate factory and many more
lets add TV: Dexter and Arrested Development.

I decided to see the world (no that's to lame)

what is amazing? how can I say that one thing is more important than any other, I've gone mountain hiking, skinny dipping, roof climbing, had sex, bungee jumped in a steel-ball, visited 15 countries, gone white rifer rafting twice, broken my bone falling off a horse, had my heart broken and loved again, worked at at least 11 different places and gotten lost in Paris

When your in Germany it's customary to shake peoples hands whenever you meet them, doesn't matter if it's the first time or the hundredth time you met.

In Iceland having an umbrella gives you up as foreign because the don't really work here, wind and callous rain make water go all around and not just down.

In France you should always try speaking French first, even if you can't that really opens them up.

If your first language isn't English (and something obscure like Icelandic) you should NEVER allow yourself to speak in public like no one understands you, you will end up being understood and at the worst moment possible. It's also gives you up as a target for thieves I guess.

Where ever in the world you are, here is a fact: If you don't know the place don't get too drunk (odds of getting lost rise) and don't go just anywhere like into a back alley and down some stairs into what you thought was something you maybe were supposed to be familiar with, because then you are just asking for trouble.
