Overview
About Me
I'm originally from Florida, but I've also lived in Tennessee and Montana over the past few years. In my spare time, I enjoy playing music (I'm a banjo player), hiking, biking, surfing, and snowboarding.
*Currently backpacking in Scandinavia*
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Although I haven't been using Couchsurfing for long, I've certainly slept on many a couch and offered the same to others! I really love being able to have a locals perspective of new places. Through couchsurfing, it's easy to connect with so many wonderful people whom I would probably never get to meet otherwise.
Interests
As stated in the about me, playing music is a passion of mine. I'd love to jam with people along the way, so please let me know if you feel the same! Getting outdoors, exploring new places, and meeting new friends are important to me as well.
I also believe it's important to have a connection to the world around me. I'm in a never-ending pursuit of improving myself for the betterment of everyone and everything, through the food I eat, the choices I make, and simply enjoying the beauty of this strange thing we call life.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: My love of music runs the gamut, but Americana and Folk are my all-time favorites.
Movies: Coen Brother and Tarantino movies stand out for me, but anything with a good story will keep me happy.
Books: Most of my life has been spent with my nose in a textbook, but The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch is an all-time favorite for me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once tagged and marked a loggerhead sea turtle for ongoing research on the movement of these endangered animals. It's incredible to know I'm a part of this conservation effort.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I'm always up for teaching people how to play stringed instruments! I fail miserably when it comes to any other type of instrument, though. I can also nerd out about plants and wildlife, rub my belly while patting my head, and teach a few contra dance moves (one form of dance that I'm not absolutely miserable at)!
Learn: Anything and everything!
Share: Fun experiences with good friends (both old and new)
What I Can Share with Hosts
The warmest of appreciations for their hospitality and whatever I can do to help!
