Overview
About Me
I am a former firefighter/EMT that has reconnected with a childhood dream to travel the world. I am going back to school for environmental science with aspirations of being a field biologist, studying every environment from the deepest oceans to the tallest mountains.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I would love to travel around the world in a minimalist fashion, and I believe this network could help me do that, so while I still have my feet planted I feel like extending a hand to those already living the dream
Interests
Anything to do with adventure, from hiking through extravagant landscapes to simply sightseeing a new city. I love anything that requires physical exertion such as sports and have recently bought a motorcycle that I will one day ride around the world on.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy just about every type of music, absolutely love anything to do with science fiction and will read anything about adventure. My favorite song is Reeducation (through labor) by rise against, cannot possibly pinpoint a favorite movie but jurrasic park, Star Wars, and Indiana jones, and Ted are naturally up there, and am currently reading Jupiter's Travels which is changing my life.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I am thankful to my upbringing because it has offered me many opportunities to go to places many never get the chance to see, but somewhere between climbing the Sydney Harbor Bridge, and jetskiing in the Grand Canyon, I knew my thirst for travel and adventure would never be satisfied. But the most amazing things I have done have all involved helping others, and between building homes for Mexican families struggling to eek out an existence, and pulling someone out of a fire, I am always going to extend my hand in order to help those that just need a little boost, because Lord knows I have recieved that same treatment many times.
Teach, Learn, Share
Humanity is about sharing stories and learning from each other. If everybody on the planet taught one thing to each person they met, not only would our race become more intelligent, but we would also become less judgmental about people and cultures we have never encountered before.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I simply offer a cool place to crash in the desert.
