About Me
Hi there! I'm a student in my final year of college, working on a Bachelors in English with a concentration in creative writing. I'm a curious person and I like to explore and learn new things, especially through traveling. I love to read and am currently practicing my drawing skills.
I've completed the National Novel Writing Month contest twice and am constantly writing. I also play the guitar and the piano.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The thought of an online community engaging in a reciprocal and social activity like trading couches seems really exciting to me. Traveling is so important in today's globalized population. Meeting new people to expand one's network, experiencing other cultures and ideas (even within one's own country!) are hugely important.
I've participated in the WWOOF project once before and am planning to once more this summer, and couchsurfing seems to be in the same "family" of activities! :-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I just recently got back from a semester-long trip through Europe, beginning in the UK where I took courses on philosophy, history, and literature, and ending with a 6-week long trip through Greece, Turkey, and Italy. There's really far too much to tell about that experience than I could even begin to summarize, so we'll have to talk about that in person!
I did take a trip my senior year of high school for 3 weeks to Alaska, where we spent every day hiking and camping for the first two weeks, and then finished the trip off with camping and sea-kayaking on Prince William's Sound.
The first traveling experience I can remember most of was when I was in middle school, and went for about a month to Croatia with my best friend. That was a blast, I definitely want to go back some day.
Before that, and I only have shadows of memory of this, my mother and maternal grandparents took me when I was a toddler to London and Sussex, where our family is from on their side.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Tales of my experiences, limited technical support (I'm only a beginner programmer but I can quickly troubleshoot general issues), a love of life and traveling, and a voracious appetite for new experiences (and of course, new cuisines!) I know my way around a kitchen and would love to help cook, as well as other domestic duties like cleaning, organizing, etc.
