About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Finishing school, personal edification.

ABOUT ME

I love to travel and share life with others, and try to keep my acquaintances diverse. I also love art, philosophy, movies, and learning.

PHILOSOPHY

My wife and I have been traveling together since we got married in June 2014. We travel to learn about others and ourselves.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would love to stay on couches and get to know people, share knowledge and life experience, and connect the human element in all of us despite our differences.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Usually only couchsurfing with friends or on mission trips; I've stayed in church gyms and on friends' couches. I'm as comfortable on a floor as I am on a hostel bed.

Interests

Religion, theology, conversation, art, culture, postmodernism, books, traveling, tea, beer, finding common interests with others.

Music, Movies, and Books

Anything by Jon Ronson; books on Christian community, theology, or history, like Jesus for President, Christianity and Anarchy, or Love Wins.

Music: Starflyer 59, Future of Forestry, Tinariwen. Music from Africa and the Middle East makes me happy, as does folk music from the States.

Movies: Garden State, Into the Wild, Little Miss Sunshine, Blood Diamond; Breaking Bad and Community on TV

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Paragliding in Colombia

Teach, Learn, Share

I am pretty well-educated in Christian theology and history. I could give you some things you've probably never heard about Christianity! I speak basic Arabic and Spanish as well.

I love to learn about politics, economics, agriculture, travel, community, music, art, and language. I am also very interested in learning practical skills.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My winning personality, biting wit, and laid-back attitude.
