Growing up in Small Town, U.S.A. I grew up with a great life. I was raised by amazing parents in a wonderful community full of wonderful people. I am very friendly and interested to learn more about the world, starting within the country. I have learned values from growing up in Nebraska that I stick to, such as honesty and respect. I will probably crack some dumb jokes if given the opportunity, so I apologize in advance. Sometimes I get lost in thought, and look like I just spaced off and will never return, so hopefully you won't think I am being rude! I am just distracted like a squirrel. Hopefully our experience will be a great memory for the both of us!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Like it says in my about me, I grew up in Nebraska! And while this is no excuse, I have not seen as much of the world that I would like to. I have been to Chicago, Minneapolis, Castle Rock, Washington D.C., Kansas City, and St. Louis. But these all were mainly on group trips, not having my own free will to do as I enjoy. I did enjoy seeing those cities, but there were things I wanted to see and do that I could not! The only trip I had my own free will was going to Castle Rock with a group of friends to visit another friend in the summer. It was amazing being able to do what I wanted and would love to do that with other cities. I am only 19, but hope to start travelling before I lose the time to.

Interests

Photography, it's a hobby I just started that I am hoping to involve in my future career. It is part of the reason of my want to travel. I want to capture moments of different places to share with the rest of the world to see.

Drawing, this is just something I do in my spare time when my brain feels like something belongs on paper. It just amazes me that whatever you want to see on paper can be put there by a pencil and that is something I love. My papers are often filled with small meaningless doodles.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy all types of music and have never really been picky. I lean more towards hip-hop and rap, favorite artists beings MGK, G-Eazy, Hoodie Allen, Eminem, Big Sean, and a lot of other rappers.

As for movies go, I usually enjoy most movies. Again not too picky there, usually I see some good in most movies. I enjoyed The Way Way Back, I thought it was a great indie film. I also tend to quote a lot of Anchorman if that says anything. If I'm alone and watching a movie I will laugh more than with people.

I don't read too much, I just feel I don't have the time, even though I could probably make the time. I remember enjoying the book The Schwa was Here. It was about this boy who other kids thought that he was invisible and could not be noticed, so they tested this theory out and it was quite an interesting tale. I also enjoyed The Hunger Game series, and hope to start the Maze Runner soon. I liked Of Mice and Men, and thought Lord of the Flies was a good read as well.
