ABOUT ME

My wife and I, both 37, live in Tacoma. I work on environmental investigations and cleanups. My wife works at a local university. We've got the greatest group of friends and family helping us to enjoy life, and our goal is to not waste that, and to help others do the same.

The ways I enjoy life include learning, teaching, reading, debating, and anything outdoors: soccer, climbing, hiking, biking, even roller-hockey if I can find other players. I bike commute to work and play soccer any Sunday that I'm not gone from Tacoma. I'm a native Washingtonian and have lived in the Puget Sound area all my life except one year in China. For the longest time I'd wanted to climb all 5 Washington volcanoes. I recently knocked off my last one and so am planning my next caper.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm more interested in hosting right now. It would be especially fun to host international travellers. But I'll take domestic requests, too, haha.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted over a half-dozen people and met two people who just wanted the local low-down. It's all been great!
