About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Learn Spanish!
ABOUT ME
I'm a student at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, USA. I'm studying Spanish and Chemistry. I am in Escorial, Madrid, Spain right now studying at RCU Maria Cristina. This is my first time abroad, and I am trying to make the most of it.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm not 100% sure what is supposed to go here. I'm not excactly the philisophical type. Right now I just do what I have to do to further my education and have as much fun as I can along the way.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've had a CouchSurfing profile for a while now, but I have not had the opportunity to take advantage of it before now. I found out about CouchSurfing through one of my professors last year, but living in student dorms doesn't make you open to hosting (and there aren't many travelers that come through Tuscaloosa, Alabama either). Anyhow, I am hope that I can get started in the CouchSurfing community this summer!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Absolutely none at all. Would definitely like to remedy that soon.
Interests
American Football, Baseball, and sports in general. I've been giving fútbol a chance since I'm in Spain. I study Spanish in school, so I have a particular interest in Spanish language, history, and culture. I love reading history and generally just like to learn about anything.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to Led Zeppelin, The Who, Rolling Stones, and music like that. As for movies, I am looking forward to the new Dark Knight movie, and my favorite is called Gods and Generals (it is about the American Civil War). Favorite book is a contest between Robinson Crusoe and Ivanhoe.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of my classes this summer is Art of the Escorial. It is taught by a priest that lives in the monastery, and he gives us tours every day. It is amazing to be able to see, touch, and feel such history every day and have it described to us by a man that is part of it every day.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have recently learned a new way to tie one's shoes. It is about 75% faster and is guaranteed to save you at least 15 minutes a year! I can also make an awesome potato gun (yes, it is not a well known art) and if you don't live in a very urban environment (and the law permits it) I can teach you how.
And I will learn just about anything that you can teach me!
