About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm on a mission to see my world!

ABOUT ME

My friends call me a dreamer on the perpetual search for greener pastures! But hey without that dream I can't be what they usually say I am which is that of a down to earth, fun, ambitious and real person that they can count on.

PHILOSOPHY

I have three personal philosophies. Firstly, you will never know whether the grass is greener on the other side unless you go looking for it - So I choose to go!. This has always kept me going. My second personal philosophy is that there is always a plan B - and even plan B always takes hard work and perseverance. Lastly, as cliche as it gets, you only get what you give. But I think personally you have to truly give from the heart, otherwise it's meaningless. These are the reasons I wake up!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm here to create world peace through couchsurfing. Aim high right? But on the flip side, I am here to help it grow through my involvement in this great community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

At this point in time - I don't have any couchsurfing experience. However I'm keen to make inroads!

Interests

The things that really excite me are new thrilling experiences, mixing with new people and new cultures and getting the real deal. I'm currently on my world travel and I have been fortunate enough to experience this everyday now! Otherwise, fun company, sweet location, nice conversation will get me going any time of day. On my off days, I like reading, hiking, surfing, fishing and sometimes you may catch me playing the piano.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: The godfather, Fight Club, Grave of the fireflies.
Music: Old school RnB, Rock, pop and electronic music. Really anything that takes my fancy.
Books: As the Crow flies by Jeffrey Archer, The 4-Hour Workweek by Timothy Ferriss and the occasional self help genre.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A sight to remember that has left me gobsmacked is the dedication of pilgrims travelling to the Golden Temple in Armristar, India. I'm not a believer of the Sikh religion, but the atmosphere of the temple, the worshippers dedication in the sweltering heat to wait to pray and the generosity in the ideals of this temple left me awe inspired.

Another sight that has taken my breath away is being alone in a blizzard in the Himalayan Ranges. From one second admiring the deep and beautiful valleys of the Himalayas, to the next a blistering cold blizzard - in the split second of realizing that this was really happening, made possible by the forces nature made my heart skip a beat knowing that I had to be careful with each step as I was in real danger for the first time in my life!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can tell tall tales, teach overly excessive Microsoft Excel skills, My now obsolete project management skills (Since I resigned in June 2012), piano skills and my passion for a good conversation.

Countries I’ve Visited

China, India, Japan, Malaysia, Nepal, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, United Kingdom, Viet Nam
