Overview
About Me
My name is Gary and I come from a tiny island which is located beneath Sicily with an estimated population of 450,000. I am doing a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Malta and currently I am doing a semester abroad in Lisbon, Portugal. During my time at the university I have formed part of the ESN Malta student organisation's board for two years where I was the former events co-ordinator thus organising events for these foreign exchange students during their time in Malta. Furthermore, for the past 4 summers I have worked in an English language course centre where I have occupied various positions from activity leader to logistics assistance. Through involving myself in ESN Malta and working in this language centre I have met so many fantastic people which gave me more of a reason to want to meet more.
I am an open-minded guy who is willing and in search of getting out of my own comfort zone in order to gain experiences which no university degree can ever give me. Coming from a mediterranean country I am always down for some nice food, good laughter and some chill time.
Fun fact: the odds of meeting a Maltese is that of : 450,000/7,600,000,000 = 0.00005921052% - I guess it's time to beat the odds.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Some of my strongest and enduring friendships came from two common factors: brief of period of time and whilst travelling so I guess no other place is better than CS.

Music, Movies, and Books
I mostly listen to hip-hip / rnb or indie-rock during my travels but I am open to all sort of genres and willing to try new genres.
I do enjoy reading history books and I have recently started following Charles Bukowski, who has some very fascinating work!
With regards to movies I am down to any kind of movie as long as it is a good one, but if a movie night with friends is happening I do prefer to watch a horror one.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I am going to be honest, it is still in the making but once it's done I promise I will share it with you and the wait shall be worth it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
It all depends what's going on at the moment of arrival. Couch is always available, though if you happen to have a sleeping bag on your journey it might be useful.
I'm a last minute person myself and often I don't know what the next week or even day will bring to me, so I can't tell you if I can host you too much in advance. Late or last-minute requests are okay and even preferred.
Personalised requests also tend to be accepted more than copy-paste requests. :)
