About Me

I'm currently travelling the United States of America to find out what makes this country so unique.
I've been working in the U.S. Since June at a summer camp in CT. Now I am currently travelling the east coast seeing all that this side of America has to offer. During my time at the camp, I was the martial arts counsellor in 2015 and this year I was the radio counsellor and sound technician for all of the events/parties the camp had.
I graduated from Liverpool John Moores University with a degree in Drama in 2015. I hope to carry this on and get a masters degree with the final aim being a professional actor. However, I am not just a one trick pony. I have worked behind the scenes of a play as a director, writer and as a lighting/sound technician all in a professional manner.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing to experience what it's truly like to be in America. Not via that facade of being a tourist. I believe that by using Couchsurfing I will get a better experience for what it's like to live in an American city properly. Rather than at a hotel for a few days.

Interests

I have a wide range of interests, ranging from martial arts to music.
One of my biggest interests is to see as much of the world as possible before I have to settle down. Seeing different cultures and how the world works in every continent is something I would very much like to experience. Couchsurfing isnt something I've done a lot of. But a lot people have recommended it and I really want to give it a try.

Music, Movies, and Books

I couldn't give you an answer for my favourite genre of music as it changes on a day to day basis. Currently it is Soul/Motown but tomorrow it could be Deep House or Ska.
My favourite books are the Robert Langdon series by Dan Brown (The DA Vinci Code, Angels and Demons etc.)
I have a list of hundreds of movies that occupy my top spot, all for different reasons. However to name a few would be: Whiplash, Fury, Sev7en, The Departed... And Dumb and Dumber.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I've done would probably be something in recent memory. Liverpool played host to the Cunard cruise lines 175th anniversary celebrations. Three cruise liners sailed into the River Mersey in Liverpool which brought over 1,000,000 people to the city over three days. I was a paid actor for that event and managed to see my face on a newspaper in a different continent (North America) I also feature on a video to do with the event that has been viewed over almost 6,000,000 times!

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you'd like to know how to play Shakespeare's Richard III as well as learning how to defend yourself from knife attacks at the exact same time... I'm your man.
I have a lot of stories from my time travelling so far as well as about growing up in England, not to mention what it's like for anyone curious about the world of TV and theatre.
