ABOUT ME
Duality: the concept of positive and negative.
Sometimes I feel so detached from myself. I am outgoing yet withdrawn. I am incredibly shy I feel, but I really surprise myself.
After I started couchsurfing, I discovered I am more the person I am. I have tried forbidden fruits - things that I thought I will never try - and I don't feel any guilt. I have discovered so much of myself, yet I know there's still hidden part of me that is yet to be released.
PHILOSOPHY
We live life for experiences, but I wonder why we are collecting them? For what?
I wish there were life after death but there is simply no proof. I dont; want my existence to end.. it's makes me terrified that I will just disappear.
I am a Christian and I believe in God; but a part of me is skeptical - I really wish God will show me some sign. Are ghosts real? Tell me about it!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far, it has been great!
I think Europeans are such great hosts.
I did my first CS in Italy - then my profile was empty. I was really lucky to meet all the good guys that I would never forget - Marcello, Ernesto, and Marco. I felt very safe and very well taken care of. It was a big risk for them to take me in, especially since I had no one to vouch for me!
Subsequently things got easier with the references, then I met Pieter and Tijs - which were excellent hosts.
I do hope to reciprocate as a host but I had an unpleasant experience before and I am more cautious now.
Couchsurfing is like a friendship network - as you know more people, they refer you to more people that you can trust in.
In 2009, I went again back to Europe, visiting Spain and Portugal. I got excellent hosts once more, even have had help in France!
Thanks to Leyla, Ingmar, Hernan, Ramon, Pedro, Antonio and Zita!
Fast-forward to 2010, I visited Europe again, but I chose to visit Greece. That's because Santorini was my dream destination. I was once again blessed to have Yannis to host me during the weekdays, and then Aris to host me during the weekend. Aris also allowed me to extend my stay for a day due to the Greek strikes and I thank him so much!
After Santorni, I flew to France and I was lucky to find a couch with Diane and Aurelien in Lyon during the Fete des lumieres. It was a home away from home and they even hosted me again after I returned from Marseille to Geneve.
In Marseille, I was very much welcome by Manu! It was really nice to have crashed with him for the few days. He's a cool guy and definitely a charmer - would have loved to hung around longer.
Interests
Nature and life. I also play a lot of computer games and I love swimming.
I am current a Salsa Intermediate Dancer. I am probably too shy to invite people to dance. I hope to get better.
I am currently learning the LA on1 or en linea style.

Music, Movies, and Books
Kitaro, Pop music?
I really have a varied taste for music. As long as it is catchy, I would love it.
I am learning salsa recently and I love salsa tunes! It makes me feel like dancing.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm what you call an 'amnesic' drunk.
My tolerance for alcohol is extremely low.
One time in Colorado, I thought I passed out after some shots of rum, but photographs showed that I actually continued to sing and dance and did crazy stuff!
Another time with Yannis in Athens, I thought I only drank a little alcohol and passed out. But I woke up again to my surprise that I went for a shower and changed before sleeping.
More drinking stories to add here? Don't be alarmed, I am definitely not an alcoholic, and I'm actually quite nice when drunk.
2 near death experiences.
I once hiked all the way down to the Colorado River and couldn't return back. I was just too tired, and nearly died. Lucky I had friends around to save me.
A year later, I nearly died from food poisoning and couldn't see a doctor because I had no insurance. I passed out from the pain but recovered thankfully!
