About Me
Hey! Nice to meet you, I'm Gaston, or Gato, as people call me. I consider myself to be someone really open-minded, who is constantly looking for ways to get out of his comfort zone, since I believe that when you do, you grow the most. I think of life as a game, so I try to have fun and get the best out of every bad situation. I'm currently doing an exchange program in the University of Michigan and I'm loving it! If you're sarcastic and sassy, we'll probably get along really well.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books
I am passionate about music, and that is what I want to do for the rest of my life. I am a professional guitarist and I've played for as long as I can remember. Over the years I also learnt to sing, play the piano and drums quite well, so now I'm working as a solo artist, and I'm trying to release my first album. I have a very varied taste in music, from Rock (AC/DC, Guns n Roses, Zeppelin, Foo Fighters), Blues (Hendrix, Mayer, Clapton) and Jazz (Wes Anderson, Louis Armstrong, Joe Pass) to electronic music and pop (Jack Johnson, Jamiroquai, Portugal. The Man, Norah Jones, Michael Buble, Bruno Mars, JUSTICE, Daft Punk, etc)
Besides I love movies. Since I used to go as a child once a week I developed a taste for movies, although over the years I have lost this habit. I still have a list of To watch that keeps getting longer and longer no matter how many films I cross out. One of my favourites are: Birdman, Django, Pulp Fiction, Seven, The Wolf of Wall Street, Whiplash and Prisoners.
I read every day on my way to college. A favorite one is: Memorias de mis putas tristes, which, if you speak Spanish should definitely read.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I had one of the most amazing experiences of my life while surfing in South Africa. I was in this pretty crowded beach, where lots of people were surfing, but somehow I ended up in a deserted spot. While I was waiting for the waves, I noticed that the shape of water was changing, and suddenly, right next to me, three dolphins started swimming in circles! At the time I was shocked and I thought they might hurt me, but they were super friendly and caught the next wave that came by.
Teach, Learn, Share
I always wanted to be a teacher so this might be your chance to be my first student. I can teach you Spanish or music, from guitar, to piano and drums.
I can offer the most enjoyable company, I love playing the guitar and singing so that is something I can do with pleasure. I am passionate for cooking, and though I'm not great I'm usually trying out new recipes that I'd love to share with you.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Appart from housing what I want is to get to know the culture and to expierience the life of those who host me. I am more than willing to tour around the city or share experiences with other couchsurfers but if my hosts are busy I wouldn't get in their way
To all couchsurfers who are willing to host me I can offer the most enjoyable company, I love playing the guitar and singing so that is something I will do with pleasure if asked for. I can also teach music, since I've studied guitar, piano, drums and singing. I love cooking, and though I'm not great I'm usually trying out new recipes that would love to share with anyone.
