About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live my life.. if not, who else is gonna do it?

ABOUT ME

Hi everybody!!! My name is Gaston, I´m 29 and I love meeting new people.
I´m a materials engineer currently running 2 start ups related to green building:
www.green-tec.com.ar
www.gebco.com.ar

I think every time we travel our minds open up a little bit more!!
I cannot live without a guitar nearby or without surfing at least once a month.. The sea used to be my playroom when I lived in Mar del Plata, but now I´m living at Buenos Aires and i really miss the ocean from time to time. Nevertheless, Bs As is an amazing city, full of culture, music & design!
As a typical argentinean, I love "futbol" (soccer)!!!
I am very social and I try to spend the most of my free the time with my friends.

I always say.. "Si no puedes conocer todo el mundo, que el mundo te conozca a ti!"

Cheers!

PHILOSOPHY

Dont leave anything for tomorrow.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I really enjoy cultural exchange since I believe it improves our lives and our spirits.
My flat´s door is open for anyone who wants to visit Buenos Aires.

Interests

As an engineer, I love construction and specially sustainable buildings.

Another thing that really interests me is music. I spend a lot of time practising, recording and making my own songs. I love to share this passion with my friends and the people that surrounds me!!! Here is a recording for you to know me better: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJXZ28Ta0Zo

Surfing is another passion of mine. I try to go surfing at least once a month and of course all the time during my vacations!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Bossa Nova and reggae music, but I like almost every kind of music.
I play the guitar and sing, but currently I´m not playing in any band.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first trip to Europe. 3 months of travelling alone, and since it was my first big trip I must say the whole of it was incredible and I will never forget it!!

Hitch-hiking through Salta, Argentina. I have never seen such beautiful landscapes in my life and I will never forget the people I met in the way. Specially Pablo, a vineyard pawn who gave me a 20Km lift in his extremely small motorcycle!!!

Cabo Polonio, Uruguay. This place is just magical!!! No electric power, no cars, just the sea and a few habitants in their pretty small houses. I can still feel that magic when I think of Cabo Polonio! The most amazing thing was to walk on the night with no other light rather than the lighthouse near the sea!

Travelling From LA up to SF in California, all over the seaside. California's ocean is paradise on earth!!!

Teach, Learn, Share

Definitely. Every moment shared with someone is an ocasion for learning!

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Peru, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, United States, Uruguay

Countries I’ve Lived In
