🧔🏻👱🏻‍♀️, We’re French couple, who started our journey back home since February 2024.

We lived for 4 years in Australia, between work and holidays, and decided to come back to France once our visa end.

Because taking one way flight to go back, felt like a hard return, we decided to make the way home as a journey. It’s a long trip from Indonesia but we want to challenge ourselves and learn to travel in a different way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

🧔🏻👱🏻‍♀️, we want to travel to discover places but the most important for us is to really get to know the citizens of the world. For that Couchsurfing it’s a good way, meet people, learn cooking, discover suburb, landscape and so many more. Also, being completely honest, travelling by land is more expensive than booking a flight and getting hosted would help us achieve our goal.

Depends the mood for the music, world music with great people is the most important.

Love biopic, historic documentary or science fiction, Napoleon, Schindler’s List, Interstellar…

Music :
With always love a good pop playlist but there is actually a wild variety of music in my playlist. Love listening to podcast.

Movies :
I am not often taking the time to watch a good movies. In general, I prefer documentary (wildlife, history or society topic) and my old favorite tvshow : Friends.

Book :
I used to be a bookworn as a child. Nothing better than a book than I don’t want to stop reading. History, psychology, feminism, ecology and health are probably my favorites topics.
My favorite book from my 2023’s reading is I am Malala, the girl who stoop up for education and was shot by the taliban.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

🧔🏻 Gatien: my biggest adventure for now, since we travelled has been the hiking of Mueller hut, in New Zealand.
It was good hike, with 2200 step half way of 1000 meter height difference.
But at the summit the view was absolutely stunning, glacier and mount Aoraki/Cook in front of us.
We felt proud of the achievement and so little in this landscape, everything around is huge and massive, and you are here. It’s incredible.

👱🏻‍♀️Delphine : my biggest adventure is probably the one we are living now. Can not believe we will travel half the world with public transport and discover so much culture, people and landscape on our way. Even if I am in my early 30, I just feel like I have everything to learn and discover, and it’s so exciting!
