About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoying Dresden & learning German

ABOUT ME

I love traveling, experiencing different cultures and meeting new people. I'm always opened to adventures!

Please note before you ask for a couch or to meet for a coffee: I'm currently in Dresden, not in Riga. I just have not ordered the postcard to change the location on my profile yet.

PHILOSOPHY

We have to learn for the whole life to develop ourselves constantly. It's never too late to start something new in a life. Changes are often necessary to continue going uphill. We should use our chances and don't be afraid to risk sometimes. We all make some wrong decisions but we must learn from the mistakes (not only from our own, but also from the experience of others) and never repeat them.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have participated in many adventure sports competitions. That means about 24 hours spent on bike, walking or running, in a boat or on the skis non-stop, day and night, in the forest, over the hills, across the fields and over the lakes and rivers. It's a team sport usually with 4 people in each team. That also means finding your way through completely wild and unknown areas without any civilization while surviving from what you carry in your bag. The distance can be around 150-200 kilometers in 24 hours. Every race is like a big adventure.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm interested in getting to know more about different cultures - everything starting from food and drinks until mentality and history. Maybe we can help each other with practicing different languages ;) If we happen to share some common experiences like long travels, hitchiking, mountains or other adventures, it can turn out to be especially interesting.
If we happen to meet in Latvia, it will be a pleasure for me to show some of our most beautiful places: Old Town in Riga, seaside and more. By the way, I can even teach you the basics about orienteering, which is my favorite hobby, if you are interested :) About learning, guitar, salsa and many kinds of exotic dishes are things which I would really enjoy to learn but usually don't have enough time for them.
