ABOUT ME

I like challenges... i'll gamble on just about anything - i love the action, what can i say.. i'm pretty sarcastic and I like to be around people who can keep up, whatever that means, and aren't offended by much.
I'll do anything for my friends. I range from 'the stairs make me tired' to being in very good shape. Tough to get motivated sometimes!.... I'll make fun of just about anything, very much including myself; as an American, and a guy, I think i'm a fairly easy target.

PHILOSOPHY

Friends and family are the most important things in life. Period.

Interesses

I love sports, both playing and watching. I love american football, baseball, and all that, but 'real' football is definitely the best sport in the world. Card games (bridge, poker, anything), board games (chess, etc..), I love. I also love to read (and will pick up anything from Harry Potter to Dostoyevsky), can sew my own buttons back on, make crepes from scratch, and little tricks like that. When I go out it's usually more along the lines of a place where we can actually hear each other talk.. I like dive bars and pretty much never go to a place where i'll have to wait in line for 20 mins... so don't expect me to take you clubbing if you visit NY :)
And traveling.. exploring... i can't say enough about how much i enjoy - and long - to do this...

for books it's anything from Dostoyevsky to Harry Potter... I also just read a book of Icelandic folklore which was really interesting. Currently reading a book on String Theory (the Elegant Universe).

Well, everywhere i've traveled to i've loved. A definite theme is adventure... Almost ran aground on our rented boat in the florida keys; Pretty much got sunk on a sea kayak in Thailand during a storm; 'dinged' a house boat on an amsterdam canal; on our third day in venezuela there was a revolution against chavez.....
