About Me

I am Gaurav Sharma, a passionate horticulturist and agriculture expert from Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, India.🇮🇳
Mathura, in Uttar Pradesh, India, is renowned as the birthplace of Lord Krishna and is a significant spiritual center. Nestled along the Yamuna River, it draws pilgrims to its temples and ghats, especially during Janmashtami and Holi. Nearby Vrindavan, with temples like Banke Bihari and ISKCON, adds to its cultural richness.

Whether I’m welcoming guests to my hometown or visiting new destinations, I enjoy creating memorable experiences that highlight the beauty of local traditions, natural landscapes, and agriculture. For me, travel is a way to learn, grow, and build lasting friendships across diverse backgrounds.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m here to connect with people from all over world, share experiences, and explore cultures beyond tourist spots. Hosting and traveling with locals gives me a more authentic view of each place, and I love welcoming others to my home in Mathura. Through Couchsurfing, I aim to create friendships, learn from others’ stories, and make every journey meaningful.

And my one of the most thing my dream became a traveller when I hosted people's then I learn many more about traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books

reading about computers and classic texts like the Ramayana and Gita, and relaxing with Bollywood movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had on Couchsurfing was hosting Two traveler from Nepal for first time who had never visited India before. I not only offered them a place to stay but also took them on a tour of Mathura on my bike 🛵 and shared the rich cultural history of the area. We visited local temples, enjoyed traditional food, and discussed everything from agriculture to Bollywood movies. It was fulfilling to offer them a deeper, more authentic experience of my hometown while also learning about their culture.
