About Me

Current Mission: Live life a day at a time... and enjoying it

Dream Destination: Iceland - Done! Next - ISRAEL!

ABOUT ME

Hate answering this. Guess, a few pointers would be:
- Value intelligence as a trait over anything else in others...a must for a good conversation
- Like quality, open-ended conversations but can't really force one
- Always ready for a party
- Love meeting new people
- Adventure sports are the best
- Need a camera or a book to spend a day alone
- Moody, at times

PHILOSOPHY

Just do it

- its kind of a cliche, but very true nonetheless

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have only started doing this as I travelled overseas for the first time recently. Haven't had the opportunity to host or be hosted as of now. However, I have attended CS meets and am working on doing it more regularly, when I am home.

Participated in CS meets and travelled as part of day trips when travelling overseas.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have been short but amazing, as of now. The only real experience has come through CS meets and day trips. Details:

- Being a host/Getting hosted: (watch out for this sub-section..planning experiences to fill this soon)

- CS Meets: Attended several CS meets (in a week's time) when I was in Beijing in Aug 2014. Had some amazing conversations and laughs, and found great company in fellow CS-ers. Some of the names would be: Naomi, Kei and Viola

- Day Trips: Made one and a wow day trip with 5 fellow CS-ers to the Great Wall of China (fotos available). Had the best time with a group of people that was as exhaustive in diversity(by regions, by accents, by profession, by academics, by choice of food, by opinions on things etc etc etc) as possible. Made some awesome friends--Gustavo and Lara

Today, CS has given me the means and motivation to travel as much as possible

Interests

- Poker,
- Talking--more like itching/tickling minds,
- Gadgets,
- Clicking pictures (own a DSLR but am not a photographer),
- Books (some fiction, some religious, some politics, some economics),
- Manga/Anime --all sorts. I am a nerd in this area

Music, Movies, and Books

BOOKS:
- Works of Ayn Rand, Mario Puzo
- The Alchemist
- Some works of Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens

MOVIES:
- Rush, Wolf of Wall Street (lately)
- Sports flicks: Miracle, Million Dollar Baby, Cinderella Man, Warrior, FIghter, Glory Road
- Movies starring Morgan Freeman

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I swear there have been some, if not many, but I can't think of many whenever I open this box to complete my profile.

Probably I can think of some when we are talking sometime :)

Teach, Learn, Share

What I can teach is something I am yet to figure out. - What I do enjoy and love to participate in is deep, open-ended conversations on any topic- especially political, geo-politics, religion

- What I would love to learn is, at the moment, new languages --> French is what I am working on now, which reminds me...

I can teach Hindi! and I can read Sanskrit (is a little rusty and might need a dictionary...but should be doable)

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, China, Denmark, France, Iceland, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

India
