About Me

*To all my fellow couchsurfers, please note that i can host only 1 person at a time for a night. Its not possible for me to have multiple hosts even if i want to as I dont have enough space at my room.*

Hey there fellow traveller or my lovely host,

I am an explorer who enjoys traveling to places that i have dreamed about while growing up. Born and brought up in the mystical( ok its not that mystical!! ) land of India. Thanks to my dad's military job, i had the opportunity of traveling almost all of india.

**Fun Fact #1 : I have changed 13 schools by the time i was 18**

I am currently based in Berlin, where I work as a developer for one of the biggest e-commerce startups in Europe.
What else, yes..i am keen runner, having done a series of 21kms and 42 kms run during my stay in Singapore, Malaysia and in Germany.
And i am guitar fanatic where i ooze and drool at every guitar shop i see.

**Fun Fact #2 : I have played guitar in every country i have visited so far**

I guess thats enough information for now. Lets get to know more about each other when we meet.
:)
Till we meet.
Cheers!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I got to know about Couchsurfing when i moved to Europe last year. It has everything that i was looking for. Amazing hosts(Based on my last 2 trips) , amazing stories and an amazing experience.

If you have read about me, then you would have come to know that i enjoy being in different cultures(remember 13 schools in 18 years across different parts of india!).

And thats exactly what couchsurfing offers. Being with locals, exploring the areas that are not documented anywhere on the internet and most importantly sharing my views and getting inspired by people's ideas and thought process.

Need i say more?
:D

Interests

I am an active runner who enjoys pushing to the limits of my capabilities.
There is nothing better than the post run sore legs.
:D

I also used to play guitar in a band back in college, so I got that going for me, which is nice. (insert 9gag meme here).

:D

Music, Movies, and Books

Books :
I like autobiographies and technical books(Yes, I am a nerd at that). Right now, I am in an intense statistics zone, reading books on statistics by authors such as Charles Wheelan.

Music :
I can go on and on about this. I like everything, from Classy Blues of B B King to the melodious death metal of Anthrax and Mudvayne. I play blues and rock.
Favorite Band : Alter Bridge(Hands Down!!)
Favorite Guitarist : Mark Tremonti (PRS Guitars Baby!!)

Movies :
Dont Judge me but i think Tarantino has a good taste..you cant rule out the fact that Inglorious Basterds and Pulp Fiction are nothing short of masterpiece..
The best movie i have watched so far is called The Seven Samurai, released in the early 1950s..i think its a masterpiece!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Depends on what you call amazing. But i am quite proud of the fact that i survived during my Master's in Singapore on just 2 hours of sleep for almost 4 months.

I was studying, working for a big multinational bank, living alone and was preparing for my first 42km run.
I guess I was amazed by the amount of stress that human body can take if you really like what you are doing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my experience of travel in and around South East Asia and Europe.

Coming from India, i can definitely tell you that its THE most diverse country i have ever lived in. So i can definitely share with you the cultural aspects of different corners of India.

And who doesnt likes Indian food!!
So i can offer to cook a full course Indian meal (Yes, I believe i am a decent cook when it comes to indian food :P )..
So look forward to be blown away by my culinary skills.
:)
