Overview
About Me
Before moving to Cornwall I lived pretty much my whole life in Glasgow, Scotland, and although I love my hometown (which is famous for its rain and football violence), I'm currently trying to squeeze in as much travelling as I can while i've got the time for it. Once i'm out of university i'm afraid i'll be stuck in the one place. I'm an aspiring stand up comedian, writer and musician and I used to work as a tennis coach in Glasgow before I moved.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Besides the fact that meeting couchsurfers is an easy source for inspiration in writing, i feel it's my responsibility to host travellers whenever I can as a way of paying back for all the people who've helped me when I've been travelling.
Interests
My biggest interests are stand up comedy, literature and music. I perform stand up at open mic events on occasion, always challenging, experimental material. I play guitar, ukulele, drums and I sing. It goes without saying that I love travelling as well. Besides all that, I watch and play tennis, and I also follow football (I will support Celtic Football Club until I draw my final breath). I'm into films, particularly classic and independent films. My favourite food is vegetarian and vegan food. I'm interested in history and politics, and I'm a bit of a wannabe anarchist revolutionary.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite bands/musicians are the Pixies, Neil Young, The Flaming Lips and the Captain Beefheart, my favourite films are Lost In Translation, 2001: A Space Odyssey and El Topo, and my favourite books are Blood Meridian, A Farewell To Arms, Cities of the Red Night, Watchmen and Bound For Glory.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I hitchhiked all across Australia, and there are some parts of the outback that are so remote and make you feel so alone that it's awe-inspiring.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you some of the Scots or Spanish languages or some (very) basic Gaelic and i'm a goldmine for pointless trivia. As a musician, I love learning new songs wherever I go and it'd be great if people could teach me some traditional folk songs from where they're from.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We can jam if you're a musician as well, I'm always up for good conversation and I can offer a dark, warped sense of humour.
