About Me

Hey there! I am a 19 year old male who is probably to tall for his own good :P (2m) But seriously, I am a nice, down-to-earth person who has a passion for the outdoors, animals, music, and of course, traveling. I graduated from my hometown high school in Southern California two years ago and have been attending San Diego State University since then. I am currently taking a year of academic leave to find a better connection with myself and my place in the world and the people around me.

I tend to be more quiet than loud-spoken however this does not mean I am not friendly. I am very much looking forward to meeting new people while "on the road" and I hope to make long lasting connections with friends around the globe.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am spending some of my time away from school backpacking around Europe, I will be in Europe a total of 2 months exploring the countries of Germany, Czech Republic, Belgium, Netherlands, Amsterdam, Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, and Austria. I have been aware of Couchsurfing and longed to meet new people in new places for almost as long as I have dreamed of traveling, and now that the day has come, i'm looking forward to making this dream a reality!

As I travel I hope that some of you wonderful hosts can offer me a place to stay for a night or two, and maybe offer some suggestions of what to see and do. I also hope to make long lasting friendships so I can host many friends at my home in California in the future!

Interests

I am a big outdoor and adventure guy. I grew up racing BMX and have been doing action sports ever since. I also have a passion for the arts, most significantly, photography and music. I play bass guitar and drums as well as a little bit of guitar. I am passionate about our planet and protecting our environment for our future and the future of those to come. I also hold a lot of love for animals that share this world with us and I hope to purse this passion further with a degree in wildlife conservation and ecology.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like adventure thriller type medias so my favorite books are, Escape from Camp 14 and The Last Season.
My favorite movie is Interstellar
I like pretty much all music, as each genre has its own unique feeling, vibration, and emotion however I do listen to reggae, electronic, and rap/hip hop music the most.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lived in Germany as part of an exchange program in high school.

Teach, Learn, Share

Quote from "Giving chapter V" by Kahlil Gibran

"You give but little when you give of your possesions
For what are your possessions but things you keep and guard for fear you may need them tomorrow?
And tomorrow, what shall tomorrow bring to the overprudent dog burying bones in the trackless sand as he follows the oilgrims to the holy city?
And what is fear of need but need itself?"

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am very keen to long discussions regarding personal philosophy of life and can share my own view about life the universe and beyond. I can share my photography with my hosts and share my music tastes and skill for an impromptu jam session. I can share stories of my past adventures. I am a good listener and love helping others and can lend an open ear if need be.
