I like to consider myself a very open-minded and easy-going person. I love traveling, good conversation,

My life has changed quite a bit recently. I quit my job a couple of months ago to start a business, and I'm currently busy getting things set up. I moved out of my apartment in DC and moved in with my parents in Philadelphia, and I'm leaving in a few days for California to live with my business partner / best buddy (we've been friends since we were little kids in South Africa).

PHILOSOPHY

Everybody puts their pants on one leg at a time, and I'm not a fan of people who take themselves too seriously and who are not respectful.

I view all of life's fortunes and misfortunes as part of a big adventure, and that a positive attitude can take you far.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is probably my favorite thing in the world. I like are Stone Temple Pilots, Nirvana, RHCP, Sublime, Talking Heads, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Eagles, Rolling Stones, Bush, Clapton, Tool, Beatles, Flaming Lips, Air, Eels, Manu Chao, Incubus, Hendrix, Broken Social Scene, Sparta.....and I'll stop there....

As far as movies...I like independent and foreign films, but some of my favorites are The Big Lebowski, The Departed, Full Metal Jacket, City of God, Blue Velvet, Amadeus, Donnie Darko...

Books...Pillars of the Earth, Siddhartha, Cider House Rules

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen the most beautiful, pristine, and tranquil countryside and cultures in South Africa, my favorite place there being the Kruger National Park (a massive game reserve). The serenity of a place like that is hard to match. Sadly, the contrast with other aspects of South Africa (namely the extreme poverty and violence in parts) is heart braking.
