Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Looking for somewhere to stay or people to meet in Tokyo! I've been travelling Japan for a few months and will back in Tokyo from Friday March 29th until I fly home from Narita on Tuesday April 2nd. If anyone had a place to stay or time to hang out for all or some of those days that would be awesome! I'm looking to hang out with Japanese people and see some cool things in the city or its suburbs.

Interests

I've been travelling Japan for the last few months and doing a lot of snowboarding, surfing, running and meditation, as well as exploring some different places in Japan. I love being outdoors. I also love writing about all of these things and am super interested in Japanese culture! I've met some lovely people but have found it hard to meet Japanese people so would love to get to know someone and learn more about this country from them.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love alternative and indie rock and that kind of thing. Also love some electronic music too, house, techno, disco, etc. Just nothing too commercial. Would love to see some live music while I'm in Tokyo.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in Vietnam for several years where I worked as an English teacher, and I've motorcycled solo all over the country.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm an experienced and qualified English teacher so would love to exchange some English lessons for Japanese!

I also have a degree in psychology and am going home to Ireland to study for my masters degree in psychology later this year, so maybe I could teach you something about that :)

I've lived in 5 different countries all over the world so maybe we could share some travel stories too :)
