About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoying every day of this beautiful life and world.

ABOUT ME

50 years old, and realizing every day is a gift. I love to make and eat home-cooked meals, drink lots of good wine and other spirits, garden, travel, and listen to live music. Making friends all over the world has made my life full of joy.

PHILOSOPHY

Every day is a gift. Every human being is a potential friend.

I look forward to hosting folks whenever I can and to meet folks on my travels.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I participated in "Servas" many years ago and had a very positive experience, so I'm excited to utilize Couchsurfing. Had sensational, beautiful experiences in Ireland in summer 2009 and again in 2013. Have hosted several lovely people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love international and independent films and enjoy going to the cinema in general. Leonard Cohen is my favorite singer/songwriter, but I truly love all types of music. I read all different types of books, I've read a lot about the socio-political history in Latin America and Spain! I currently read a lot of Italian study books!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lived in Guatemala for one year and worked in a nutrition center for malnourished babies.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can speak Spanish and practice Italian with you. I can guide you to the best wine shops, cafes and restaurants in the city, and a few spots for good live music. There are many wonderful theaters in Minneapolis if that interests you. There are also many lakes in the cities and the beautiful Mississippi River - all have wonderful walking and bike paths, and some nice restaurants/bars with good views.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Comfortable beds, a driveway to park your car, and an enclosed garden in the back yard!

Countries I’ve Lived In

Denmark, Guatemala, Italy
