About Me

I’m a full-time employee in the corporate world, always trying to squeeze in travel and exploration whenever I can. I love learning about new cultures along the way. Solo travel is still a work-in-progress for me, but hey, no one’s ever too old to learn new things!

I’m happy I found Couchsurfing (CS). I’ve known about the platform since 2012 but only started using it more actively in the last quarter of 2019. It’s never too late, right?

I’m a big fan of the beach, watersports, and outdoor activities. And, of course, I’m a foodie—so if you’re up for exploring food together, count me in!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m here to meet new friends and learn about different cultures. I also want to share and exchange travel experiences with fellow travelers.

Music, Movies, and Books

My taste in music depends on my mood - I can listen to almost any genre, except metal.

The books I read are mostly inspirational, motivational, or self-help. Aside from the Bible (which I haven’t really read cover to cover 😬), some of my favorites include Tuesdays with Morrie and other books by Mitch Albom, and The Secret.

I enjoy watching documentaries and true stories, as well as thrillers, suspense, comedy, and more. I guess I like almost all kinds of shows too!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Trusting strangers and believing in their goodness has been one of the most amazing and freeing things I’ve done, especially when traveling in a foreign country. I’ve met some really kind people along the way.

Like in Singapore—during a trip with friends, a local guy literally offered to take us around the entire city in his car, completely for free! And in Taiwan, it was getting pretty late, and we were stuck in a remote area with no Grab, Uber, or taxis in sight. We couldn’t even find our way to the bus terminal. But then, a woman came to our rescue and gave us a ride in her rental car all the way there. Pretty awesome, right?
