About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to find a mission. again.

ABOUT ME

When I grow up I would like to be something very dangerous and brave, maybe an astronaut, a fire fighter or a truck driver. I live in the beautiful village of Mangawhai (better known as the God's waiting door in some circles) where I do environmental-y things. I'm a big fan of animals, not so much people, but I guess some people are okay too. If you would best describe your soul animal as a sloth at an 00s rnb party we will get on JUST FINE. My goal coming to New Zealand was settle down, not be homeless and survive at least 1 winter. My progress till now is: definitely not settled down, I'm sort of in transition between living quarters and I've survived half a winter. I am not a great cook, but I know the best places to get take out (yumm dumplings) and the pizza making man and I are on first name basis, I also can make some mean cheese sauce for nachos. I do have a bit of a flare for Latin American soap operas, and cheesy yet classy 80s music, but, hey, who doesn't?

I do not like boredom. And normal things. I embrace my weirdness to the max, so don't be surprised if I break out in song and dance from time to time. I generally like to live. And sing songs while living.

PHILOSOPHY

"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad." "How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because sharing is caring.

I haven't really hosted anyone in a LONG while, but when I first arrived in NZ I experienced kiwi hospitality first hand and now I am also in a position to open my door to a bunch of random strangers so why the heck not?

Interests

I like stuff. All sorts. If there's beers+boardgames+80s music even better.
Big fan of the outdoors and I am known to wander about the NZ bush getting lost and found.

Music, Movies, and Books

Stats books. My favourites. Help me sleep at night.
I really like music - all sorts. And people who love music and love making music. I play a few musical instruments incredibly badly (no, really, I am terrible), but am always keen to have some people around who'd like to jam (also the strawberry variety)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Slept on top of a sand dune in the Sahara desert and nearly got married to get a free carpet.

Teach, Learn, Share

Don't be a creeper. That's all really.
