Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am currently living in Munich, studying at TU Munich as an exchange student. I am loving it here, meeting new people from all over the world - Turkey, Japan, Tunisia, Austria, Italy, France, even Lithuania! The most interesting part I look forward to while meeting new people is talking about our culture shocks :) I have noticed that not many people around the world are aware about Indian culture. I would love to share experiences from my own life and know more about your lifestyle, and how an average day in your life spans out.

Interests

When I'm not watching sitcoms or YouTube videos, I can be found pestering my friends to make plans which usually never materialize :) I love traveling, and have been to several places in India - from the beachside French town of Pondicherry to the bustling metropolis of Mumbai, and from the lush green coconut fields of Kerala to the snow capped mountains of the Himalayas.

I have recently learnt (in the process of learning?) the art of cooking (Indian food, of course ;) ). I have been told by my friends that I cook pretty decent food (and by the time I cook, I'm so hungry that I feel it tastes amazing as well :P). I would love to cook authentic South Indian food for people who have never tasted Indian food before!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love listening to A R Rehman's music. I learnt singing classical Indian music - 'Carnatic music' for about five years. I also started taking violin classes very recently. I do listen to a few English songs every now and then :)

I watch a lot of sitcoms - Friends, Modern Family, Big Bang Theory, House of Cards, Game of Thrones, you name it :) And of course I'm a fan of Bollywood movies.
