ABOUT ME

I've been practicing medicine since 2004 and started my surgery residency in late 2010 in a big hospital near Tel Aviv, and later I moved to Baltimore, MD, to train there, later coming back home.
I married Michelle after returning from the US and we currently live and work near Tel Aviv. Both Michelle and I lived in Tel Aviv for few years (before meeting each other) and enjoyed some of what Tel Aviv had to offer.
we are very curious people and like to meet new people and hear what they have to say and tell about their lives, experiences, family, opinions, and of course to share some of our my experiences and views.
Like the average male, I think through my stomach, and just love to discover new recepies and places to eat.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surfed with wonderful people in the US and hope I also left something of my own with them. When at home we like to show people around and take them to some "off the beaten track" places we have here.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Met very interesting and diverse people in my past travels to the US. Some hosted me, some shared meals with me, some took me out. I made some new friends. Still didn't have the opportunity to host, but had the opportunity to show people around

Interests

Cultures, geography, music, photography, history, literature.
I like to ride mountain bikes (took a little brake after fracturing six bones in one fall) and running.
Recently, at 30+ I started trumpet lessons. Surgical residency put a brutal end to that...

Music, Movies, and Books

Balkan (Goran Breogovic, Boban Markovic, Besh-O-Drom, Kocani Orkestar) classic (mainly late 19th century, early 20th century like Dvozak, Alfven, Berlioz), 70's Israeli and latin music.

In movies my all time favorite is the Big Lebowski but I also like historical and political drama

In literature I like russian authors like Bulgakov and Isaac Babel. Can't have enough of S.Y.Agnon unique Hebrew ("Agnonit")
