About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel everywhere between my home and Mars.

ABOUT ME

I love nature and hiking, and always feel at my best when reaching a well earned mountain summit after a good climb, or after catching a good photo of some elusive animal.
I love Scuba diving, anywhere, anytime. For you fellow divers, I'm an advanced open-water diver, with various other certifications such as rescue diver. Most of my diving experience is from the Red Sea, which is just a few hours away from where I live. I've also dived in the Great Barrier Reef and in New Zealand. I'm always looking for dive buddies, especially if you plan on visiting the Red Sea.
I also love music, and always enjoy meeting talented musicians. I can play the guitar, recorder, didgeridoo, and jaw harp, and am always keen to play new instruments, the stranger the better :)
I'm fun, open minded and try to see everything as a new experience. Traveling has taught me to love meeting new people from different cultures and with different world views, and I'm always happy to have a good conversation!
I'm also quite a science nerd, and am very interested in Chemistry, Physics and Biology.
The longest continuous travelling I've done was an 8 months trip to New Zealand, Australia, Mongolia & Hong Kong in 2011-2012. These days I still give lectures about travelling in NZ and OZ :)

PHILOSOPHY

The world is amazing and full of endless opportunities. We have limited time to experience as much of it as possible.

Good friends can be found anywhere, if you just look for them.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite author would probably be Terry Pratchett. However, my most recommended book is "The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared" by Jonas Jonasson.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Deciding at the last minute to fly to Mongolia, catching a flight that very same day not knowing what to expect, and ending up riding a horse in the mountains near Siberia looking for a nomadic tribe of reindeer herders.

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach university level Chemistry to advanced high school students, and give lectures about travelling in Australia and New Zealand to future travelers.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Belgium, China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Mongolia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Scotland, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States, Wales
